A few weeks ago I with my regular partner Oliver acquired the rights to a beta version of the vBulletin mod called vBarmy. It’s first beta release was rather rough but showed alot of promise hence the buying of the code. I am happily working with the creator of the mod to make it feature rich and to establish a free and paid version of the mod. This free version has almost come to light with an increased amount of options for vbulletin board owners. The plan is to release the free version once the premium version is done so as to give the user the ability to test out the system on their board before buying.
I’ll add more info about this project when I can, especially on the difference between the free version and paid version. Feel free to read more about vbarmy and how it functions below.
About the Game
Each member begins their adventure by choosing a Race which had certain advantages over other races. They begin with a few soldiers and a bit of gold, and must build their army by fighting other players.
Players can buy weapons for their soldiers to increase their attack strength, and buy armor to increase their soldier’s defense strength. However, each soldier can only use one weapon and one item of armor. Players can also upgrade their Defense and Offense to increase their defensive and offensive strengths by a percentage.
Players can browse through a list of participating players. They can conduct intelligence operations by sending Spies, which cost a set amount of gold to purchase. The more spies you send, the more accurate the intelligence you gather will be. Gathered intelligence gives you an estimate of the players total gold, offensive power, and defensive power.
If you choose to attack a player you must use “Turns.” You only get a certain amount of turns every 24 hours. The more turns you use, the more gold you will steal from your opponent. Be warned though, your opponent will know that you attacked them by viewing their Defense Log.
Naturally it is important to grow your army. The only way to get soldiers in the game is to have your friends click your “Recruitment Link” They can only click it once every 24 hours, and each time they do you will recieve one soldier.

I thought I should write my next post about one of the projects I’ve recently started. As many people know wordpress is one of the most popular blogging platforms out there today, heck I’m using it so it must be good right.
One of my favorite features of wordpress is the ability to change the look of your blog with a click of the button. The look of your blog is quite an important aspect. It defines who you are and what your about. Have a crummy look and expect a crummy appearance. You could have excellent content and yet still find that noone is sticking around to read it because your site..well doesn’t look very nice.
I partnered up with Oliver a good friend to help bring some whole hearted goodness to the wordpress theme area and help with this crummy problem, hence Themejolt.com was born.
Revenue
Themejolt is aimed to make peoples blogs/sites look great without taking a huge chunk of change from there pocket. Premium themes are currently selling at $25 a pop, fortunately for those who have just started and are tight on cash themejolt also provides free (yes I said free) themes. We also provide wordpress services which will most likely be the main source of revenue once the site has officially launched.
Marketing
The idea behind providing free themes is that we will hopefully boost our traffic from the backlink (a url link back to our site) that has been put in the footer. Basically its a well known marketing scheme that has been proven to work. As of yet themejolt is the only place to get the free themes from so I will need to have them placed on some free wordpress theme sites for maximum effectiveness.
I’ll keep everyone updated on this project and provide any stats (traffic, revenue, downloads) where possible.

Well its been a long time coming but I have finally got my own blog up. I have been wanting to start blogging for quite a while so im happy that I pulled the finger out and took some action today. As this is my first post I thought I might just give out a few details about myself for later reference for people who stumble upon this site.
I am a 19 year old Student living in New Zealand, Dunedin attending Otago University. I currently am in my third year (feels like a lifetime) and still have a few more left before I complete my degree/s. I’m an easy going bloke who enjoys having a casual drink with mates out in the dunedin bars.
I’m also (unlike most of the people I know) heavily addicted to investing money into sites and turning them into a profit. I have created, bought and sold many sites over the past 3 years and have decided to blog about these transactions I make, and any knowledge I gain. My overall goal is to make a million dollars before im 22.
So in short:
This is my blog to a million dollars.
